My mornings visit to Starbucks

23.37 My morning's visit to Starbucks on 16th. & Walnut will be the last. I watched a young male operative make my cappucino: his attention was on his conversation with a visiting friend. My expresso shot waited for longer than the promised 10 seconds, although not as long as my yesterday wait. Starbucks have a new design paper cup upon which there is no "10 second promise". Has the promise been withdrawn, in accordance with the quality of service?

Starbucks has upped the standard of mainstream coffee provision, a blessing for this Travelling Gigster. But whereas once I would look forward to visiting Starbucks, sitting, sipping reading, now I usually visit & take away my coffee from an unwelcoming environment. I hope the sitting option doesn't close as Starbucks continues to spread in quantity, its quality being divided between the growing number of institutions.

In the small things we see the larger. Starbucks management take heed.

Two performances at The Painted Bride: 14.00 & 19.00. Both audiences were patient, generous and supportive; both had worthwhile comments and questions. Evening performances seem to go deeper & further. Several Crafties were present. My Sister's "I've Been FRIPPnotised" buttons have been going a storm.

And that is a completion to the performances on this leg of the ongoing Soundscapes touring.
